Valar Atomics is a nuclear energy company founded by Isaiah Taylor that develops small modular high-temperature gas reactors using TRISO fuel, helium cooling, and graphite moderation, which it plans to mass-manufacture and deploy in clusters of many units at single industrial sites it calls "gigasites." Rather than selling reactors or supplying the electrical grid, the company aims to operate its own reactors to produce grid-independent products—hydrogen, power for data centers and heavy industry, and synthetic hydrocarbon fuels made from captured carbon dioxide—at lower cost through standardized, high-volume production.
