The median company now waits 14+ years to go public, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, if it ever does. For most of that time, the people who own a piece of it have had few standing places to buy or sell. Each transaction is arranged on its own, and when it closes, the process that produced it ends.
The Augment Private Liquidity Network is built to be that standing place. Augment brings private-company inventory, standardized fund units, buyers, and sellers into one system, so an eligible position can find its next owner without leaving the platform. Eligible participants may place orders through the Network, subject to applicable terms and market conditions.
Augment acquires positions in private companies, directly on the cap table or through partners, and holds them through our Collective funds. We participate in primary and secondary rounds alongside other investors, so inventory is on hand before an offering opens rather than sourced one deal at a time.

Each Collective fund issues standard units. One unit represents one share of the underlying company, and the fund's legal and operational structure is designed so units can transfer between eligible participants within the Network.
Units are issued through Collective Offerings, where eligible investors can participate in Augment's position with minimums starting at $10k. Review the offering documents for each fund, its underlying assets, and its terms before investing.

Once issued, units stay in the Network. Eligible holders can post sell orders, eligible buyers can place buy orders, and an order may be filled from other holders' posted units, from newly issued Collective inventory, or both.
A position doesn't have to wait for an IPO to change hands. If the underlying company does go public, the fund is structured to distribute the underlying shares to unitholders. Orders are subject to eligibility, applicable terms, and market conditions. A submitted order is not an assurance of a transaction.

Holders of eligible positions can post a sell limit order directly from their portfolio. Set a minimum sale price, review the order, and submit. Eligible buyers on the Network can act on it. There is no need to leave your portfolio to place it.
Whether a position is eligible depends on the terms that apply to that opportunity, including issuer restrictions, transfer limitations, approvals, documentation, and buyer availability. A limit order is not guaranteed to execute and may expire unfilled, even if the specified price is reached or exceeded. Selling securities may result in tax consequences

A network needs different roles. Eligible individuals, institutions, and brokerage and wealth partners can join the same network to trade on the same rails.
